The Management and Finance Committee deals with the financial
business of the Town Council.
Its remit covers the Town Council's Best Value
Performance, providing citizen and youth awards, financial aid
to local community groups through payment of grants and employment
issues including training and development.
Its function is to take much of the mundane and
non-contentious items from Council and has delegated authority
to deal with them. These items include:
- Cemeteries
- Street naming consultations
- Non-controversial transfer of licence's
- Approval of Newsletter prior to publication
- Request for Litter Bins
- Street/Road closures
- Risk Management
- Initial consideration of Consultation Documents - recommended
to be placed before Council
- Planning Applications - recommendations are forwarded to
the Planning Authority, which for Gainsborough is the West
Lindsey District Council.
- Civic protocol and functions
- Appeals and grant distribution
- Parish Plan
- To manage Council financial practice and budgetary control

The Economic, Environment and Leisure Committee will oversee
the Town's Economic Development and Infrastructure and the following:
- Public Parks
- Management of Aisby Walk Skate Park
- Amenity grass cutting and other related environmental issues
- Public horticultural displays
- Request for benches and bus shelters
- Events programme, including the Riverside Festival, Gainsborough
Show and the Christmas Lights.
- To maintain manage Town Council property and street furniture.

all general maintenance and upkeep of allotments and deal with

The Policy and Procedures Sub-Committee is to look at Councils
Standing Orders and Procedures and authority of Officers and
to carry out a review of existing Council Policies (ongoing).

planning applications received from West Lindsey District Council.

Lights scheme and organise any other events held by the Council.
