Councillor Pat O'Connor enlisted in the Army in Lincoln in 1977 and saw active service in Northern Ireland, the Falklands war and the Bosnian conflict.

He is married with three teenage children, and works full time as a civilian Administrative Officer for Lincolnshire Police.

Have been a County Councillor for Gainsborough since 1999.

Currently leader of the Liberal Democrat Group on Lincolnshire County Council; a member of the Health Scrutiny Committee for Lincolnshire and sits on the County Council Network at a national level as well as the National Fire Forum.
